Wow i looked at my last post n it was more than 1 month ago.....!!!!!!see la i'm really busy kakkakakak :P

Lucas' think about 2.5kgs now bah....35 weeks he was 2.2kgs....normal weight :) bt since c sec......well he more than 4 kgs also oki ma hohohoohohooh ( fat hope la me.....cos i realised its me gaining :P )

Hee think i went to the zoo this year too many times already kkakakkakak all postings were to the zoo???nahhhhhhh
cactusnah aunty got us free pass and we got in for free but we did pay for kaka warti la.It was a sunny day as predicted by lazykat aunty :) cos she says her visits to the zoo usually is sunny day......but man it was really hot and humid.This time we managed to watch the rainforest show again(different Ramos this time,thin one :P ) and kangaroo feeding which i missed the last time.....was raining remember.....anyway its quite difficult to complete everything in a day :( so all these accmulated free trips really help :) Thanks again to all aunties :)

Today i too managed to wear my usual price $110 but mommy bought for only $10!!!!! swimming bikini kakkakakakak ,mommy's a super shopper u know hehehhehehhe.Though blue dun really complement my skin tone but wat the heck.....its cheap hohoohoho and i need it :P

Auntie Sara came back Sin from Qatar for holidays and i have the pleasure of meeting Nicolas kor kor to the zoo.We meet and went in the early morning.It wasn't really pack ( cause its a weekday ) but was super duperly hot!!!!we took our time to walk pass all the animals and managed to watch the rainforest and the polar bear show :P

OUr last stop was of cause the kidzworld water play and it was really packed compared to the rest of the area....dark clouds and it rained slightly.we managed to wait and play for awhile.

Hayley's potty trained since 5 months old....so far we know when she wanna poop and now she would run to warti and go straight to the toilet.This video's taken when she's 16 months old. Videos before had helped a friend's girl to help her potty train.....now she's able to go sit on the bowl for her poop (which is difficult b4...guess this is monkey see monkey do??? )Am happy that hayley can help her friend too......maybe some of u would like to show this video to ur kiddos....why not try :)OH and now she would clap her hands when the poop comes out kekkekekke

KIDS who sleep with the light on could risk leukemia, parents were warned yesterday.

Scientists have found the body needs darkness to produce a chemical that fights cancer. Even switching the light on for the toilet, staying up late, traveling across time zones, or the light from street lamps can stop enough melatonin being made, they say.

The body needs the chemical to prevent damage to DNA and its absence stops fatty acids reaching tumors and preventing them growing. Texas University Prof Russell Reiter, who led the research, said: 'Once you go to bed you should not even switch the light on for a minute.. 'Your brain immediately recognizes the light as day and melatonin levels drop.'

Rates of childhood leukemia have doubled in the past 40 years.

About 500 youngsters under 15 are diagnosed with the disease each year and around 100 died. A conference on childhood leukemia in London yesterday heard that people were being subjected to more light at night than ever.

This suppressed the production of melatonin, which normally happens between 9pm and 8am.

Past research has shown those most affected, like shift workers, had higher levels of breast cancer.

Blind people, who are not vulnerable to fluctuations of melatonin, have lower rates of cancer, it was found.

Parents are advised to use dim red or yellow bulbs if their youngsters are scared of the dark.

Hyaley's been pratising how to stand up by herself 2 days ago and finally yesterday she mastered it !!!!!!!she kept standing and walking by herself at home.Though we brought her down the apartment for walks....i dare not let her walk by herself unless in the clubhouse kiddies room,afraid that she might lost her balance and scratch herself :p

Hi all, I received this email from a friend. I am not sure if it is true or not. So it is up to you to judge. I also included the other side of the story... take a read...

The following is information from a farmer who grows and packages carrots for IGA, METRO, LOBLAWS, etc. The small cocktail (baby) carrots you buy in small plastic bags are made using the larger crooked or deformed carrots which are put through a machine which cuts and shapes them into cocktail carrots. Most people probably know this already.

What you may not know and should know is the following: once the carrots are cut and shaped into cocktail carrots they are dipped in a solution of water and chlorine in order to preserve them (this is the same chlorine used in your pool) since they do not have their skin or natural protective covering, they give them a higher dose of chlorine. You will notice that
once you keep these carrots in your refrigerator for a few days, a white covering will form on the carrots, this is the chlorine which resurfaces.

At what cost do we put our health at risk to have esthetically pleasing vegetables which are practically plastic?

We do hope that this information can be passed on to as many people as possible in the hopes of informing them where these carrots come from and how they are processed. Chlorine is a very well known carcinogen. Please let us make this information available to as many people as possible.

In contrast to many e-mails circulating around the Internet, this one is fairly well written, and risks therefore to be taken seriously by a lot of people. However, that does not make it necessarily true. So, what do we have to think about this message?

Are baby carrots really made using larger crooked or deformed carrots? Originally, yes. The baby carrot was invented in 1986 by leading Newhall California carrot producer Mike Yurosek who sought to save at least some of the broken or misshapen carrots that he could not use in his fresh carrot packing line.

In order to make baby carrots, he used an industrial green bean cutter to cut them in pieces of about 5 cm long. He then put them in an industrial potato peeler to peel them and round them a bit. And so, the baby carrot was born.

It is unclear why the author of the e-mail mentions this origin of the baby-cut carrot. Does he or she think that an odd-shaped carrot is bad for one's health in some way? Let's be clear: there is no difference whatsoever in nutritional or health qualities between a perfectly shaped carrot and a crooked or misshaped one.

Now, although baby carrots can be bought, most baby carrots sold in grocery store are also not really baby carrots but normal carrots of the "Imperator" type that have been planted close together to make them long and thin. Once harvested, they are washed, sorted, cut, trimmed, grated, polished and shaped into the small uniform size we find in the grocery store packages.

How can you know if you are buying genuine baby carrots? Easy. Baby carrots are indeed just that: carrots that have been harvested while still very young. Baby-cut carrots are easier to find, and they are the larger carrots that have been shaped into baby carrots.

What about the chlorine? This is true as well. The carrots must be washed with chlorinated water. This water must have a pH (acidity) between 6.0 and 7.0. The concentration of chlorine in the water should be between 100 and 150 ppm (parts per million). The time of contact between the carrots and the chlorinated water should not exceed 5 minutes. This must be removed from the carrots by rinsing with potable water or using a centrifugal drier.

Is this dangerous? No. Chlorination is a well-known and well-tested way to disinfect food products. Our tap water is chlorinated as well. I would nevertheless like to issue a warning. When you disinfect something, that means that you kill the bacteria that are present. Chlorine kills bacteria. It can also kill us, or be very bad for us. The bleach you use to clean and disinfect your toilet, contains chlorine. Do not drink it. This will kill you because it is far more concentrated than we can safely ingest. The chlorine in your tap water and in your baby-carrots, presents no danger whatsoever. It is precisely to make them safe that the carrots are used.

As a side-note, it is interesting to know that the term chlorine is something of a misnomer. Chlorine, in its natural state, is a highly reactive gas that forms compounds with other products. Even is chlorine is added to water, it will react virtually immediately to form compounds such as hypochlorous acid and sodium hypochlorite. These compounds in turn disinfect the water. When we talk about chlorine, and even about free chlorine, these compounds are usually what we are referring to.

What about the white covering? Is that really the chlorine that resurfaces? No. It is simply the carrot drying out. Try it out for yourself. Take a fresh, normal carrot and cut it in half. Wait. The same white covering (which is officially called white blush) will appear on the cut. Baby carrots will show a lot more white blush for a very simple reason: their skin has been removed and therefore, the entire carrot dries out.

Now, what about the "practically plastic" claim? This means nothing. It doesn't even make sense here. My best guess is that the person who wrote the text, either wanted to make it sound even more terrible, or that he or she had heard a rumour about chlorine being an ingredient in plastics (PVC = polyvinyl chloride is a good example). There is absolutely no plastic in baby carrots.

What about the cancer claim? The question is a valid one, especially because we know that there are certain compounds of chlorine that do cause cancer. Does chlorine cause cancer? No. While medical science is not an exact science, and we must always be vigilant, there is at present no evidence whatsoever that chlorine causes cancer or could be a facilitator for cancer. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have not classified chlorine as to its human carcinogenicity. In other words, chlorine is perfectly safe, if it is used appropriately.

The author asks to send her/his "information" to as many people as possible in the hopes of informing them where these carrots come from and how they are processed. Please don't. We all receive more than junk mail and spam than we need, and we are already bombarded with more quackery and pseudoscience than we can handle. Do your friends and contacts a favour, and let them out of it!

In short, there is nothing wrong with baby carrots. They are a food that humans have enjoyed for centuries, probably millennia, chock-full of goodness that we need to keep our bodies functioning.

Been to amsterdam a couple of times(of cos for work la :P),the "shopping" area (actually like a tiny town 4 groceries etc~tiny) have had huge changes this time.There's alot more shops esp for organic food stuffs etc(my favourite place),even a cake cafe.
Now i'm beinging to like to fly here hee hee hee,apart from frankfurt.These are the few "quiet" places to relax my well being hohoohohoho.
Of cos the best thing will come with a Free internet connection la(only for these 2 days cos the company pc broke down,ha lucky me :P

Hayley's 1st swim(3M3D)

Hayley went for her 1st swim at PUNNGOL plaza,it was runned by few MIC (maybe PR chinese).She liked it very much.....didnt really need any assistance.Itchy backsided Evilmama signed the package for her including massage.

After 4 times....i thought it was not good enough for her already.....
-quite restricted due to the size of tub
-brought her to my Hk apartment clubhouse and she was ok with it
-A little too pricey $25 per session(though there's no limitation of time,bbs tends to get tired after 15 to 30 mins max
-Got her a float from china,cheaper than the shop (but after a few times in the public,clubhouse and SAFRA pools......she refuse the float totally......me and my warti is her MAN MADE float kekekkekekek
-Cleanliness of the shop wasnt up to my standards....norm for MIC cause their motto "earn and get as much out of u as possible)Toys and mats etc were quite dirty....me dare not let my girl hold it....we use our own towels etc......

HAyley's 1st jab was on 4th march which was abit overdue.....
No fever...but appetite was reduced.From 720~840ml per day to
less than 400ml.Evildada & mama was worried sick (even my helper
too)

Ways of making(cheating) her drink
1*Giving her pacifier 1st,then swap w her milk (invented by my helper,Warti)

2*Changing her APRICA bts to PIGEON bts (she like PIGEON/NUK teats suddenly...guessed APRICA teats is too soft)

PS:luckily TAKA hv PIGEON promo (exchange old bts to their new ones at 50% off)
save us alot of $ esp hv to change at least 6 :P

Her Progress:2 weeks-able to turn her head from left to right when facing down whilst zzzzzz.(mama & papa so amazed!!!!!) Since coming into this world-smiling daily esp whilst zzzzzzzz(again???) 2 months-can goo goo and scream alittle(she loves to talk)

HAYlEY was breeched still on 21st nov,so no choice but to hv C-section on 22nd.Everything else went well,was able to walk the next day(w the help of the best invention "binder" kekkekekeek,without it i think i'll be in pain pain pain)

As a mother to be this feeling is getting stronger everyday.Being in a foreign country for more than 10 yrs,family is what i missed most(not that we're in a good relationship,but blood is always thicker than water)I learnt how to appreciated them more,unfortunately i see ppl still not loving their one and only FAMILY............

Do u all hv this "crying" feeling when u hear this song?(of cause a chinese,or someone who understands)i do.........Hope everyone hv......hv the compassion for their family,their friends and all living things on earth.........

Went pre-natal yoga yesterday,one of the canadian french lady says that her "fetus"(already 5 months preggie) feels like an alien to her.......

I dun feel really attached to my bb hayley yet(wait till i see the real evil,kekekkekek) but i dun think its an alien too,"fetus" is a medical term for them in 5 mths,but.......they're already consider your growing BABY.I hope she won't get pre-natal blues etc........

Whether its a WANT or NOT,if they choose us as their FAMILY MEMBERS......we hv to accept the fact,cause somehow,they return in different places,occasions,or our next life to be with us again
